Up to Date

This customer felt that their living room was looking dated and that it needed to be brought up to date. They liked the bold pattern on their existing curtains and weren’t afraid of colour, they wanted to keep their existing sofa and chairs.

They found a fire that they loved which started the whole process. To make the scheme work with the new fire we used details which added cohesion to the look. The black chrome finish on the lights, the charcoal poles, and the contrasting charcoal on the roman blinds pelmets and cushion piping all match the dark grey surround of the fire

We chose a bold coloured fabric with a simple yet striking design, even though there is a lot of fabric in the room the pattern is not overpowering. The clean lines of the Wave heading gave the windows a contemporary look, while adding the roman blinds to the two smaller windows removed the bulk of the existing curtains and opened up the room. By adding the roman blind pelmets in the charcoal it tied these windows in with the Metropoles.

They had an existing LVT floor in the hallway which we carried through into the living room, but to make sure the room still felt cosy we added a large rug which soften the area.
